An existing customer wanted to redesign over 18 models of its existing steel tube condensers into Aluminium tube condensers.
Challenge
Danvita engineers had to design 18 condenser models using Aluminum tubing offering similar performance and using the existing space envelope plus matching the existing refrigerant charge. Lastly the project had a very stringent completion timeline.
Solution
Using its experience with Aluminium tubing and superior fin surface, Danvita’s engineers initially designed a couple of models and got them tested by the customer.
With encouraging results balance 16 models were simulated and sampled.
Conclusion
Danvita’s engineers were able to increase the capacity of the condensers by over 20%, reduce its weight by over 50%, reduce its costs considerably and help the customer to launch its new line of units in record time.
